Winthrop St. rotary gets facelift

It’s best known as the Winthrop Street rotary, but as the monument in the middle attests it’s actual name is Fennelly Circle — and Joe Crowley plans to honor the World War II veteran whose name is on that plaque by giving the traffic island a new look.

Since Monday, Crowley and his crew from Crowley’s Concepts, a subsidiary of Crowley’s Clippers, have been working to give the site a fresh appearance.
